Welcome to Preptile. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Preptile mobile application ("App") available on iOS and Android. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Preptile is developed and operated by an individual developer based in India ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our").
Preptile is a mobile coding interview preparation app. It provides quiz questions covering algorithms, patterns, complexity analysis, code exercises, and system design. The App also offers spaced repetition, timed practice mode, and an AI-powered interview recording and scoring feature.
The App is educational in nature. It is designed to help you practice for coding interviews — it does not guarantee any particular outcome, including but not limited to success in interviews, job offers, or career advancement.
You may use the App if you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
The App does not require you to create an account or sign up. You can use the App without providing any personal information beyond what is necessary for the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) to process purchases, if applicable.

Prices are in US Dollars and may vary by region based on App Store or Google Play pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next subscription period.

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or process payment information. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as applicable, in accordance with their refund policies.
We may offer free trial periods from time to time. If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
The App includes an AI-powered interview feature where you can record verbal answers to interview questions. Your recordings are transcribed and scored by AI in real time. Recordings are processed and then discarded — they are not stored on our servers or retained after scoring is complete.
The AI scoring is provided for educational and practice purposes only. Scores and feedback are generated by automated systems and should not be treated as professional evaluations or guarantees of your interview readiness.
All content in the App — including but not limited to quiz questions, answer explanations, interview prompts, scoring criteria, design elements, graphics, and software code — is the intellectual property of the Developer and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App and its content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.
In no event shall the Developer's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the App in a manner that could harm the App, its content, or other users.
You may stop using the App at any time. To cancel a subscription, use the subscription management settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel your subscription.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Disclaimer, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
The App relies on third-party services including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and AI processing services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The arbitration shall be conducted in English and the seat of arbitration shall be India.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
